Description

This bundle includes the A2DVI V3 card, rear panel video connector, color mode switch, and mounting hardware for the Apple //e

Apple II Digital Video Output Card V3 – supports 640x480p60 and 720x480p60 DVI output

The A2DVI V3 is a digital video card for Apple ][, Apple ][+, and Apple //e. It directly produces a digital video stream from Apple II’s memory content. The signal is output via a 19 pin connector, allowing the Apple II to use modern displays with HDMI or DVI inputs.

The A2DVI Supports alternative keyboard/display languages using the alternate character switch on a European Apple //e computer, or on US domestic computers through the use of a hardware switch (included in this bundle).

This bundle includes a custom Apple //e panel mount HDMI connector and toggle switch. There is little chance of damaging the video connector on your DVI card when it’s fastened to the computer chassis itself. It also adds an “alternate character” toggle switch to your 8bitdevices A2DVI card, so you can use the alternate font and video mode switch functions of A2DVI on computers that did not come with the European factory character switch.

The mounting adapters are built from 1.6mm thick fiberglass-reinforced epoxy laminate material with a satin black finish (we tried 3D printing first, but it lacked the required strength). A 30cm HDMI male/female cable, toggle switch with 50cm Dupont wires, and the required adapters and mounting hardware are all included.

The HDMI panel mount requires an available DB-25 opening in the chassis. The toggle switch can be mounted in a DB-9 or DB-25 chassis opening (only the DB-9 adapter is shown in the photo, but we send both sizes).

Currently supports all standard Apple ][, ][+, and //e video modes in color and monochrome, LORES, double LORES, HIRES, double HIRES.

Supports Apple ][, ][+, //e, and various clones (Apple III and //GS not currently supported).

Supports 80 column display for Apple //e with an installed 80 column Aux RAM card.

Supports 80 column display for Apple ][ and ][+ with an installed Videx compatible 80 column card.

Supports various languages and fonts including custom uploaded fonts.

Dual language support using the “ALTCHR” language rocker switch of the Euro-Apple IIe, or external toggle switch.

Quick switching of display modes using an external switch/push button, or through the existing language rocker switch of Euro-Machines.

Current limited (protected) 5V pin for use with external buttons and switches.

Convenient menu, showing current configuration, and allowing instant changes – temporary or permanent.

Can be installed in the normally unusable //e slot #3, even when the //e AUX/80 column card is present.

Low power consumption/heat dissipation: <70mA@5V = 0.35W
